Haneez Zattam, Executive Director

Born in Nazareth, Israel, Haneez spent some of her childhood in the Middle East, then moved to South Carolina where she was raised.  She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and International Studies from the University of South Carolina.

Prior to becoming Executive Director, she volunteered at the Columbia World Affairs Council for two years.  She fell in love with the Council and became highly involved in international issues.  Being raised in an Arab American family, international and political issues naturally spark her attention.  Haneez is fluent in Arabic and speaks minimal Hebrew.

Haneez is passionate about expanding knowledge of international affairs among the community of South Carolina.  She is fond of swimming, visiting the beach, reading, dancing, and listening to music. Haneez also enjoys spending time with her younger sister and cousins whom are very close to her.
