U.N. Convention on the RIghts of the Child
Featuring speaker Jay Elliott and Arlene Bowers
The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child is the most widely ratified U.N. convention in th world. The U.S. and Somalia have yet to ratify it. Paradoxically, in many ways the COnvention reflects notions on human rights for children which have their origin in the United States. This presentation will provide an overview of the Convention and its implications for the U.S. and particularly South Carolina.
